A systematic meta?analysis based review on black soldier fly ( <i>Hermetia illucens</i> ) as a novel protein source for salmonids

Black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens) has gained attention as a sustainable novel protein source in fish feed due to its high nutritional value and low environmental impacts. In the past decade, effects of use black aquafeeds have widely been studied salmonids. A meta-analysis was conducted compile systematically quantify effect diets for salmonids on growth performance nutrient utilization. The main showed that dietary inclusion did not compromise specific rate, conversion ratio, intake, digestibility efficiency ratio meta-regression explore possible causes variation intake between studies.
